Investors in Bulgaria 'could cash in on value increases' |
Investors in Bulgarian property could be set to benefit from forthcoming price increases.
Local newspaper the Sofia Echo stated that polls by other media outlets had found that real estate agents across the country all thought that property values would continue to go up.
Some have estimated that in major cities such as Sofia, values could increase by as much as ten per cent before the end of the year.
This means that overseas buyers in the Bulgarian market could get high returns on their investment through capital appreciation.
The newspaper said the high rate of house price inflation was largely due to increasing levels of demand, particularly for city centre apartments with about 70 sq m of floor space.
However, cheaper apartments on the outskirts were also said to be highly sought-after and experiencing price increases.
This comes after Property Secrets said that cities such as Sofia offered millions of prospective tenants to investors for the whole year, making it a much more sustainable investment.
